 Happy with this product Apr 14, 2010
I was sceptical about buying this product but knew I had do something with our water. We have a culligan water system in the house which only works half of the time. This shower system was very easy to install. After my first use, i noticed how easy it was to dry my hair. It took half the time as usual. It did feel like sofened water. I was so pleased with the results I purchased a second for my daughters shower (they live in there own home) and my daughter called me telling me how fast it took to dry her hair. The next day she called again on her way home from work telling me that usually she would have to wash her hair because by now it feels greasy, but her hair feels so clean and NOT greasy at all. I would recommend this to anyone who want to feel clean after a shower and want their hair to feel great! This is my first review on anything. I hope it helps.

 Not softened water but pretty close Oct 18, 2009
I've been using this product for two years now. When I first got it others immediately noticed a difference as did I. My hair stays cleaner for longer and I only need to shampoo to clean my scalp every other day or so. Previously my hair would get very greasy very quickly. Not only does my hair stay cleaner for longer but my tub stays clean for a very long time. And even when I do have to clean it their are very little mineral stains to clean up since it seems to filter most of them out. Not to mention that, as I live in an apartment complex, the water here can smell like sulfur and chlorine at times. Even to the point where I literally had to spit it out once putting in into my mouth when I went to brush my teeth. But every time my water is of this condition the shower water is always free of odors and nasty taste. I too grew up on softened water and this product won't do that but it will offer comparable results. Whenever I go back to my parents house my hair comes out nearly the same. Now I notice my hair behaving like it did before I got this thing and I came on here to get another filter. The shower head this thing comes with hasn't lasted for me but your paying mostly for the filter so it's worth it in my opinion.

I have never written a review before, but I thought I would take the time since this might be helpful to others.
I researched shower filters pretty thoroughly before finally deciding on the Wellness Filter. It was the most expensive so I was a little nervous, but I did want the best. In short, I am so glad I purchased it. I love it.
First off, the shower head itself has three options and provides very strong jets-feels great! I look forward to showering like I never have before. The water actually feels soft and leaves my hair much softer, with less frizz and a lot less tangles to comb out. I have a thyroid condition and have lost some hair as part of the symptoms so anything that helps the condition of my hair is really appreciated. I also color my hair which further weakens it and I heard that a filter will help the color last so I won't need to color it so often. There is no question this is working. The color is rinsing out about half as fast.
My skin also has improved. I had developed dry skin and dandruff from the thyroid condition and was using prescription shampoo which controlled, but did not cure the issue. I did not expect it, but in one week it has completely cleared up. No more flakes at all! I can finally go back to my regular shampoo.
Another thing I wanted to mention is the filter's position, above the shower head and out of the way so I can still use my shower caddy rather than having to redesign my entire shower set-up. Very helpful.
The product is easy to use and the customer service was fast and friendly. When the filter first arrived I mistakenly thought it might be defective so I called customer service and received a call back immediately. The rep actually stayed on the phone with me, patiently coaching me though all the possible troubleshooting until we figured out the issue together. A small adjustment was all that was needed and by the end of it I totally understood the ins and outs of the filter. He did not rush me or make me feel foolish. It was customer service like you expect and so rarely find these days.
I know it is a big investment, but if you are in the market for a shower filter don't let the price tag deter you from doing the research on the Wellness Filter. Check out the YouTube videos and comparison ratings on the web. It is a great product. I could not be more pleased I made that choice.

 Fake reviewers Sep 06, 2009
Most of these "reviews" are made by users who have only reviewed this product, and possibly 1 other product not made by Wellness. It'd hard enough to figure out which water filters are best without all the lies out there. I really don't appreciate it, Wellness. Aquasana is even worse. They've set up fake review sites, and even a fake consumer reports type website. I'll rate this as an average of the 2 reviewers who aren't fake.

After doing some research on the system, I found that it actually had the highest rated NSF certification of any shower filter available. After using the system I immediately noticed a difference with my skin and hair. Since I first started using the Wellness Shower Filter, my entire family is now using them in their homes as well. Finally a product that lives up to the expectations.
