Most of these "reviews" are made by users who have only reviewed this product, and possibly 1 other product not made by Wellness. It'd hard enough to figure out which water filters are best without all the lies out there. I really don't appreciate it, Wellness. Aquasana is even worse. They've set up fake review sites, and even a fake consumer reports type website. I'll rate this as an average of the 2 reviewers who aren't fake.

A truly remarkable product. Improvement in the health and moisture level of my skin and hair was noticeable immediately following the first use. It left my skin feeling as if it were just moisturized and my hair looking and feeling as if it were just conditioned. I don't know how I ever managed without one. I was so impressed with the product I immediately purchased another as a gift for my mother.
Assembly is very simple and it is also compatible with hand held shower heads. My only reservation is that the plastic housing for the filter seems some what flimsy, but it has not proven to be an issue. I am very happy with the item and will be exploring other Wellness Filter products.

I purchased this shower filter and did not notice any difference from my previous shower filter that cost less than half the price. I grew up on well water and water softners and trust me, this product does not leave your hair feeling soft in comparison. This is not even the half of it. My product was leaking, we took it off and discovered it was defective. I called the company who manufactures the product and they told me I would have to pay to send it back even if I wanted an exchange. It cost me $15 and they were very rude. This is by far the worst customer service, they say they gaurantee their product, but they make you pay to send it back, not impressed.

Not softened water but pretty close Oct 18, 2009

I've been using this product for two years now. When I first got it others immediately noticed a difference as did I. My hair stays cleaner for longer and I only need to shampoo to clean my scalp every other day or so. Previously my hair would get very greasy very quickly. Not only does my hair stay cleaner for longer but my tub stays clean for a very long time. And even when I do have to clean it their are very little mineral stains to clean up since it seems to filter most of them out. Not to mention that, as I live in an apartment complex, the water here can smell like sulfur and chlorine at times. Even to the point where I literally had to spit it out once putting in into my mouth when I went to brush my teeth. But every time my water is of this condition the shower water is always free of odors and nasty taste. I too grew up on softened water and this product won't do that but it will offer comparable results. Whenever I go back to my parents house my hair comes out nearly the same. Now I notice my hair behaving like it did before I got this thing and I came on here to get another filter. The shower head this thing comes with hasn't lasted for me but your paying mostly for the filter so it's worth it in my opinion.

Great but not amazing May 25, 2009

Both my mother and I purchased this filter from Amazon. I did notice a subtle difference in my water quality though not significant. I like the idea that it filters out the chlorine so I know it is better for me. I guess I was expecting more of a noticeable difference.
