Only glass bottle on the market Aug 23, 2007
By Mark Bruce
"The Dude"
I use these to take water to work everyday. I have broke about 5 of them so far. It's very hard to travel with these without breaking them! The only complaint I have is that these bottles are obviously two recycled bottles mended together, and not very well. They do hold up though if you're careful with them. I didn't have problems with the plastic lids. I have 12 of ...I mean 7 of them.

I wish I never bought it Jun 16, 2008
By W. So

I thought that these would make good containers for distilled water, but now I regret it because of the following faults:
- Spout is too narrow. You can't see it in the photos, but the spout is just as big as a softdrink bottle's, so you inevitably spill water while trying to fill it up.
- Bottle is too tall. If you have a regular-sized refrigerator, you can't stand it up in any rack, except on the door, which you wouldn't want to do because...
- Center of balance is terrible. It's too tall and too narrow, so any slight change in inertia when you're not holding it will topple it, which you can expect when you put it in the refrigerator door. Or when it's in your car's cup holders.
- Lousy Quality control. One of the bottles actually wobbles when on a flat surface. Aside from that, the thickness of the glass isn't perfectly smooth like a fine wine bottle, but riddled with small imperfections like a beer bottle.
That's minus 4 stars, for a score of 1 star.

No leaching plastic, just chunks of it Jun 05, 2007
By L. Chui We bought these bottles to try to avoid the leaching plastic. However, the plastic lid of these bottles are poorly build so the plastic actually shreded from the "screw" on the lid and got stuck at the mouth of the bottle. Some of those plastic particlants actually fell into the water. I might even have drank some of those.
I am still trying to find some high quality reusable glass water bottle.

VOSS Water comes in the same container. Water Included Jun 27, 2008
By Prime Real I guess no one has noticed, but if you really want these "decanters" then just buy VOSS water and save the glass! Same thing but its cheaper!
And yes, the design is pretty but totally not functional. Ever tried to put one of these bottles in a cup holder??
Ever tried to take a sip with one hand?
Save the glass from a better bottle and save money.

I own 11 of these containers now and am happy. May 28, 2008
By Ken M OK, I would have owned 12, but these are glass, and if you drop them they will break.
The glass is not exactly perfect in its thickness. Most people will just say 'Wow! a glass water (wine ...) container' and be happy. For the price I am very satisfied.
